| Caerterton concrete specialises
in the creation of custom-built garden studios in England
From foundations to finish each one of our stunning garden studio
is unique. Every studio is designed and crafted to the
highest specification and as individual as the client. Designs are
based on detailed discussions with the client, taking into account
personal preferences and requirements.
Everyone needs their own space. Our studio
can provide you with a room, or a number of rooms, for work, play or
relaxation, at a lower cost than an extension or a loft conversion.
The majority of garden studios
do not require planning permission, but we will be happy to advise
you and make any necessary applications on your behalf.
carterton concrete will
arrange everything for you, from foundations to finish.
Every carterton concrete garden studio is
unique but every one is built to last,
Some of the many options are detailed below but
please ask us if you don’t see an option you would like:
Insulation
High levels of insulation are used so that you can use your new
space all year round. Modern insulation of the type found in new
houses or loft conversions is commonly used but we are also used to
using environmentally-friendly products
Doors and windows
Choose from a range of styles. Doors and windows will have low E
argon filled double glazing (meeting the same insulation standards
required for new houses). Choose from the Farrow & Ball paint chart
for the paint colour.
Interior
Walls and ceilings are usually plastered but timber finishes are
also available. Typically, we use varnished pine floorboards as a
floor finish but you can opt for laminated flooring, tiles, vinyl
flooring or carpet. Everything is decorated in your choice of
colours.
Exterior
Options include painted or stained shiplap, featherboard, cedar
boards, cedar shingles or Thermowood.
Roof
Options include slate, tiles, cedar shingles, glass fibre/asphalt
shingles or Ardesia slates made from recycled rubber. Velux roof
windows can also be fitted.
Style and size
carterton concrete will design the building after discussing your
styling preferences and requirements.
